Griffin is a ski legend hailing from Mount Hood and currently can be found at Crystal Mountain, WA. With over four decades of experience, he's carved out his path in the world of skiing, leaving a lasting impact on the sport. In the late 90s, before twin-tip skis were even a thing, he helped shape skiing by creating "The Solution", a metal tail contraption that allowed skiers to land backward on a flat-tail ski.
More recently, Griffin has made a name for himself as a ski coach. His dynamic skiing style and wealth of experience coaching at resorts like Crystal Mountain and Schweitzer Alpine Racing School. He's also independently coached at places like Mt Hood Meadows, Timberline, Grand Targhee, and the Jackson Hole Ski Club and has spent countless seasons at Mt. Hood Summer Ski Camps, Windells, and the renowned Camp of Champions.
Griffin's love for skiing started at a young age. At 14, he got his first instructing job at Hyak at Snoqualmie Pass, where he honed his skills on ski school weekends at Hood. When he was 19, he got his first coaching gig at Whistler, and he's been coaching freeride and freestyle skiing ever since. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Griffin has always been a twin-tip all-mountain freestyle coach, making him a unique have made him one of the longest-running high-level coaches in the game. So when you ask about his background, know that this is a skier with a wealth of experience and a true passion for the sport. With his raw talent and dynamic skiing style, Griffin is truly a legend in skiing whom we're grateful to call our friend.
Griffin was integral in developing the Kin Skis and the subsequent content surrounding the ski.
